Lauren Fleiser is the Founder/Director of the Experiential Learning and Employability Hub (ELE Hub), a not-for-profit dedicated to helping people shift careers and boost their employability. Lauren has had a non-linear career and believes that the days of 'jobs for life' are over. She and her team at ELE Hub are building a resource base to help career changers and professionals with fluid careers.

Come and get a recruiter's perspective on the use of video and portfolios in hiring! Ken will share his thoughts on the trends of video use in the hiring process and then give a demo of WintheView - a visual portfolio, presentation, and web page creation tool with functionality to create targeted videos for interview follow-up, career management and more!

In this interactive session, we’ll introduce you to skills-based volunteering and trusteeship – volunteering that draws on your professional expertise to support non-profit organisations – and explore how these opportunities can help you develop your career.

Internships are not only available for young career starters; there are internship options for career changers as well. This event is open to anyone navigating a career change, career shifts, or a fluid career, as well as to career-change professionals and those offering career change-related services or products.

Is there a cost to attend?

Yes, it costs 5 GBP to attend. This fee goes towards our social, not-for-profit mission to help more people navigate career change, boost their employability levels, and gain practical experience as needed. 

Can I meet other attendees and exhibitors during this event?

Yes, you can chat to attendees in the networking box who have indicated that they are open to networking, and to certain exhibitors via their virtual exhibitor booths. Attendees also have the option to indicate that they are not open to networking. 

How do I become an exhibitor for this event?

To become a virtual exhibitor, please contact us at connect@ele-hub.org.

How do I become a speaker at this event?

Our speaker slots are currently full, but you can still become a virtual exhibitor and showcase your offerings for career changers and professionals with fluid careers. Contact us on connect@ele-hub.org or message our Director Lauren Fleiser on LinkedIn.

Do I have to attend all the speaker sessions?

No, you do not need to attend all the speaker sessions. Review the agenda to attend the sessions you are interested in. Recordings of all speaker sessions will be shared with attendees after the event.

Can I contact exhibitors and speakers after the event?

Yes, contact info of exhibitors and speakers will be shared.

Will there be recordings of speaker sessions?

Yes, recordings of all speaker sessions will be sent to event attendees after the event.

Do I need a Zoom account for this event?

No, you do not need a Zoom account for this event. You can register via a Zoom account or email with a one-time password. You can pay safely via Zoom using both methods. If you register with a Zoom account, you will have access to a full networking profile. If you register via email, you can only change your name on your networking profile.

Can I attend this event anonymously?

Yes, you can attend anonymously. Whether you register via a Zoom account or email you will enter into the event as an anonymous guest, with your profile called 'Guest'. You have the choice as to whether you would like to edit your networking profile and add your real name, use a pseudonym, or keep your details as 'guest'. You also have the option to open your profile to networking or to keep it closed. 

How do I register for this event?

You can register for this event by signing into your Zoom account OR by email with a one-time password. Complete your billing information and pay for your ticket safely via Zoom. You will then receive your ticket by email. You can remain anonymous during the event, or edit your event profile with your name. 

How do I attend the event on the day?

If you have registered for the event, on the day, simply click on the join link sent in your confirmation email, calendar entry, or the ticket in your Zoom account.
